Genie2 2024.1 is available

Hi All,
It was getting to be time to get hearing aids, and then I inherited a pair of Oticon Zircon 2's, about a year and a half old. The rechargeable batteries seem in good shape.
The fitting process seems a bit daunting. I asked the audiologist company where I got my hearing test if they would fit them for a fee, have not heard back, I think they probably won't do it.
If I do it, I realize that I need Genie, Noah Wireless link, and I guess also ExpressLink?. (Thanks for the table PVC!)
How do you get stuff like different earpieces? Oticon seems intent on keeping consumers from getting anything directly.
Thanks

Noah Wireless link, and I guess also ExpressLink?
Both of these are hearing aid programming devices to connect your hearing aids to the fitting software (in this case, the fitting software you need is Oticon Genie 2). Therefore you only need one hearing aid programming device. So choose Noahlink Wireless 2.

eBay and such.

Good guess ;)

Here's a clip from a DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (02 How to Program your Hearing Aids);

Practice using the fitting software:

It is difficult or impossible to get any practice using the fitting software without selecting a real client and connecting to your hearing aids to use the real hearing aid settings. Look for a Simulate or Training feature that may be provided in some manufacturer’s fitting software. Oticon Genie2, ReSound’s SmartFit, others?, have a Simulate feature that allows you to try various settings in a simulation mode. Phonak Target has a Pulldown Selector to the right of “New Session”. You can pull it down and select “New Training Session”. These simulations will help you to get a feel for how the software works.

Alternatively, you could create a make-believe client, Joe Blow, and quickly click some points/any points on a make-believe Audiogram. Then you can practice using that make-believe client. Caution: Be very careful not to accidentally save your make-believe practice settings to your hearing aids, overwriting your valuable current hearing aid settings. Don’t take this lightly because your default upon exiting the software is to SAVE. When I use this Joe Blow practice technique, I practice without ever connecting my hearing aids, so the worse I could do is mess up the last database client session.

Thanks for the extremely valuable resource!

Hello All,
Would someone point me to Genie 2 for Zircon 2 HAs? Thanks!

Hi, would someone point me to the Genie 2 link for Oticon HA? Thanks!!

Hi @seejeremy Welcome;
Read your PM/Conversation for information about how to find Oticon Genie2 2024.2
Hi @pvc Can you share with me how I can install the Oticon Genie 2 2024.2 software, for my Oticon Intents? I currently have Genie 2 2023.2 but it doesn't find any updates using Genie Updater.

Hello!

I would like the Oticon Genie 2 software for my hearing aids and would be very appreciative if someone could help me with the link to download the software.

Thank you!

Hi,

I am looking for the last version of Genie2 and OasisNXT that still supports the FittingLINK 3.
2022.2 does support it but 2024.2 does not anymore, so it must be in-between.
The corresponding build numbers are what I really need, but if someone gives me a bunch of installers, I will happily find it myself.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe read a DIY School Legacy Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (Choose Hardware-Programming Device for Oticon). It is based on hearing aid model, more than a version of hearing aid fitting software.

Also; In general, instructions for choosing a hearing aid programming device can be accessed from inside the manufacturer’s fitting software. For Oticon you can use use the following Help command; (Genie 2 / Help / Instructions for use / → Guides-PDF Programming devices and cable overview H2-23);

It is based on hearing aid model, more than a version of hearing aid fitting software.
Support for FittingLINK 3 has been phased out incrementally. In 2022.2 you could use it to program older bluetooth HAs, however 2024.1 does not even detect the programmer.

Which model hearing aid are you trying to self fit?

Maico Aligo (=Bernafon Alpha) 1 MiniBTE but that's just a part it.
I have been working on something, for which having the above mentioned versions is crucial.

Working with Legacy hearing aid models may require Legacy tools/devices/adapters. It's is difficult to sort the requirements based on one hearing aid programming device (in this case FittingLINK 3). Your alternative is also difficult based on filesize, cloud storage, and even other considerations. Also, you may see diminished-reward for your effort because, sometimes Legacy/old-technology just doesn't work very well.

Thank you for trying to help with the whole process but I will know how to proceed once I have the right version.
I just realized I do not need the files in any case.

If you have the installers for Genie2 and OasisNXT versions 2022.2, 2023.1, 2023.2, could you please note the build number for each?
The build number is available at: Right click on the corresponding setup.exe -> Properties -> Details tab -> Product version

Read your PM/Private Message/Conversation in a while

Hi @pvc! Would you happen to have a copy of Genie 2025.1? Mine never updates, super weird.
