i wear BTE aids, my Siements Lotus 23P bit the dusk, i was given a Oticon Ria aid, it needs to be programmed for my type of loss, are there any app online that i can DL to make adjustments
note it is the ria not the ria 2

It ain't new! Also, which Rea or Rea2 model do you have?

Legacy Oticon Ria hearing aids (5 generations old/Circa 2013/Inium Platform) is Legacy/old. You will need Oticon Legacy fitting software Genie (Legacy 2017.1). Also, you will need a wired hearing programming device (Hi Pro or mini Pro) along with standard CS44 cables, and maybe adapters too (depending on which Ria models?).

I don't know which model Rea you have so you can look at this → Product Information PDF to get an idea about which programming interface (cables and adapters) to use for connecting the hearing aids to Genie.

Read your PM/Conversation for how to find Oticon Legacy fitting software Genie 2017.1. It's not an App, it is very complicated plus you will need additional hardware (hearing aid programming device and cables/connectors).

This sounds much too complicated for me. let me ask would it be feasable to find a Oticon dealer who can do the programming for me. is reprogramming expensive. i would like to find a siemens Lotus 23P, i like the aid, i can lift the door on the back and thee 3 pots i can adjust to my likeing, i am not sure of the gain or power it had, but i bought a new Seimens Signia Fun P and it does not have the power i need, so that will be going back. since i am new here, can anyone recommend a BTE that i can tune myself, i see some BTE come with an app that the user can make adjustments.

i called a few local Oticon dealers in my area about reprogramming mt Ria. i am still waiting for one more dealer to get back to me, but the others replised to me saying they dont have the software or hardware for this Aid. any other ideas how i may get this done, i live in the 18705 in Pa.

Yes, I know what you need to get this done. But you still haven't provided any details or clues about which model Rea you have? Perhaps I can ask some questions to narrow it down?

• You will need to use the Oticon Genie 2017.1 Legacy hearing aid fitting software.
• You will need to purchase a (Hi Pro or mini Pro) hearing aid programming device.
• Does it have those contact points on the back end? If it has those metal contact strips (I think there are four-or-five contacts on each hearing aid) then you will need Boots ,which are difficult to find. The Boots clip on to the back-end of the hearing aids, and then connect via standard CS44 cables to a (Hi Pro or mini Pro) hearing aid programming device, as in this Oticon Chili model below (with fresh batteries inserted);

Other models may use 3-conducter flexstrips (two of them) to connect the CS44 cable to the hearing aids.

Question to self? Am I comfortable with purchasing (legacy hearing aid programming equipment) that will likely exceed the value of my legacy (twelve year old hearing aids)?
