It should look like this. Dolby Digital Logo too so you get surround-sound effects;

Also when/if you get the (Oticon TV Adapter 3.0) connect via TosLink/Optical so that you don't lose the surround-sound effects.

This is Odd. I am wondering if the manufacturers are beginning to produce ReBranded Accessories which may be locked to specific ReBranded hearing aid models?

The manufacturers (all of them) already produce ReBranded hearing aid models which are duplicate models that use a different hearing aid name. Also, ReBranded hearing aid models may use a special version of the fitting software, or they may use the same version of the fitting software, but with pin code locks (see the DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (Unlocking ReBranded Hearing Aids).

Maybe I understood. My adapter is branded HHM which should be SONITON. Probably this brand uses a different protocol than OTICON.

The Big-6/Big-5 manufacturers have different sister companies (example: Oticon/Bernafon/Philips) and they also have sub brands that produce ReBranded hearing aid models which are usually locked. I believe the reason they are locked is because the ReBranded models are available at a cheaper price, and therefore the manufacturer has to devise procedures that protect their original hi-tech models. Otherwise we would all go out and buy the cheap versions, right?

You can view an industry image map that groups the Big-5 manufacturers (in image format) → Abram Bailey's Hearing Industry Map.

I have only seen this type of original hi-tech brand protection in hearing aid models, not accessories. Now I suspect that this protection scheme is spreading to accessories. Maybe the wireless protocol will be exactly the same, but device identity will be different ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would like to try. I saw that Genie 2 could update the adapter tv firmware. The problem is that the latest version of Genie sees that the adapter has the latest firmware version and therefore does not allow you to do anything. Maybe the previous versions of Genie could allow you to rewrite the firmware? Where could you find a very old version of Genie?

There are two separate fitting software programs; See below Clips from DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (01 Free Hearing Aid Fitting Software);

Oticon Genie 2017.1 (for older/legacy models). Models (Alta2, Alta1/VA, Alta, Nera2, Nera, Ria2, Ria, Dynamo, Sensei, Chili, Intiga, Safari, Agil, Acto, Ino, Get, Sumo, Hit Pro, Hit, Epoq XW, Epoq W, Epoq V,Vigo Pro Connect, Vigo Pro, Vigo, GO Pro, Dual XW, Dual W, Dual V, Dual m, Delta, Tego Pro, Tego G, Safran, Adapto, Gaia, Atlas Plus, Atlas, Ergo, Swift, Syncro).

Oticon Genie 2 (for Newer/current models). Oticon Genie 2 software supports newer hearing aid models (beginning with the Oticon Opn) and (Intent, Real, More, Play PX, Own, Zircon, Xceed, Xceed Play, Opn S, Opn Play, Ruby, Opn, Siya). For Oticon Real models you will need to install Genie2 2023.1 version or later, and you may also need to install Genie 2 as (USA region) in order to access the Oticon Real models. New models may be added later.

If you revert to a previous legacy version it may be prior to the existence of the TV Adapter 3.0 device. So the software will not know about the device, much less the firmware for that device.

I think the software (Current Genie 2) or (Legacy Genie) will not allow a backwards firmware update. I think they always update to a newer firmware version. Though, if you want to try I may know where to look for older versions of both Genie and Genie 2.

I can take the risk. Can you help me with an old version of the software?

The important thing is that I can still rewrite the firmware. I think that on my adapter there is a firmware version for the manufacturer HHM.
I just need to rewrite the same version for Oticon
