It's not Off Topic Bro. So I moved it here into (DIY Hearing Aid Self-Fitting & Adjusting) category ;)

I have recently had my Mac die on me and because of the price I replaced it with a laptop running windows 11 but the sound keeps dropping out on my Phonak marvel aids via Bluetooth anyone else had or having this problem or more importantly found a solution, it never happened on the Mac even running windows 10 on it so I think it must be something to do with windows 11 , I have updated to latest Bluetooth driver checked for update firmware on aids but none to old I expect ( 6 years).

Perhaps you should look at the Bluetooth settings in your new Laptop instead of Bluetooth problems with your Phonak Marvels hearing aids. See example below. btw> Laptop Bluetooth issues is not my forte. So other members (please chime in) if you have experience with Laptop Bluetooth.

Settings / Control Panel / Bluetooth / Intel Wireless Bluetooth
Click the Power Management Tab
Is the box checked for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

Thanks for replying, I have updated to the latest intel Bluetooth driver and checked what you linked to but still cuts in & out & I see other people are having same problem, I also see the Bluetooth LE drivers are very old 2006 but can’t find any other drivers.

Bluetooth LE drivers are very old
I doubt you are using BLE wireless protocol.
cuts in & out
Thanks for that. It is useful information.

Oh, can you say where others are having this problem??

This may be a dumb suggestion. But like I said, "Bluetooth issues is not my forte" :p
Can you try positioning your Laptop up close, (in front of your head and maybe to one side and then the other side) to see if this helps with the intermittent signal? I believe only one hearing aid receives the wireless transmission, and then that hearing aid sends it to the other hearing aid.

Oh, I saw some posts on another forum.

ETA: Edit to Add;
Here's a Link to a MicroSoft answer for → Bluetooth stuttering Windows 11
Reason for doing ETA is because I wanted to avoid stepping-on the latest answer below.
It appears there are two suggested solutions; Find a driver specifically for your model Laptop, or; Just delete the drivers and pickup newer drivers after a restart. ETA: again; I changed the title of this topic so that it may better help future readers ;)

Yes lots of other people on other forums are having same problem, I have tried putting laptop by each ear still the same, it has to be to do with the windows 11 because it’s fine on my iPhone & my iPad & as I said before it was fine on my Mac & windows 10.
The reason I decided to try to see if there was an update firmware for my aids was apart from needing the target anyway was because I thought later windows my have needed later firmware on the aids but there was no update anyway but thanks for your suggestion.

You should update your Bluetooth driver. Go to the official website of your laptop to download the Bluetooth (WiFi network card) driver, or go to Device Manager to check the brand and model of your Bluetooth (WiFi network card), and then go to its official website to download the driver.

Thanks for suggestion but I have already done that but a bit more info , if I watch a video on YT sound is fine but when I am on CapCut editing a video on windows 11 it is cutting in & out but if I edit video in CapCut on iPad sound is fine but it’s a pain transferring everything & CapCut easier to use on windows.

Well I think I have found out my problem with my phonak aids & streamed audio via Bluetooth, my aids are 6 years old & when the aids are fully charged there is no cutting out but when the aids charge get to 80% they then start cutting in & out so I think it’s a battery power issue.
I am having an hearing test tomorrow so will probably be looking at replacing them & am looking at the new Phonak Infinio Spiro i90.

Pfft: I think you nailed it. All newer/current hearing aids have (built-in/hard-wired Li-ion batteries) so the whole thing is disposable after some years, like an old cellphone.
