2 questions about Oticon TV Adapter 3.0 and Oticon ConnectClip

I asked my audiologist for help with hearing TV. I had just bought a Sony Bravia 2024 model and a Bose sound bar. She sold me an Oticon ConnectClip which I just place in front of the sound bar. It's better than nothing but I'm not getting the sound quality I had hoped for. Now I'm looking at the Oticon TV Adapter 3.0. My first question is whether the community thinks one assistive device is better than the other for watching TV. The second question is whether the TV Adapter 3.0 would be connected to the TV or the sound bar. Thank you!

Yes, the TV Adapter 3.0 is by far better than using a connect clip. Aside from hearing clear dialog you can also hear surround sound effects like helicopters flying overhead from left-to-right and other similar surround sound effects.

If possible, Connect using a Toslink-Optical cable from the Soundbar to TV Adapter 3.0. Also pair your hearing aids with TV Adapter 3.0.

What does your Sound Bar/SB rear panel look like? Like this?
This one has no Optical out from the SB. This SB can receive Audio input from Optical In or from HDMI-ARC if you set the TV Sound Out to HDMI-ARC. But if you have a SB with this panel, then you need to get your sound from TV-to-Soundbar and also from TV-To-TV Adapter 3.0 and then you may end up with a reverberation/echo problem unless you turn the SB off which is not a good solution, especially if you want to watch TV with non-HOH people.

The TV Adapter has two optical (TosLink-in and TosLink-Out) connections, so try routing the Optical Audio signal;

• TosLink-Out on TV → TosLink-in on TV Adapter
• TosLink-Out on TV Adapter → TosLink-in/Optical-In on your Sound Bar/SB
