Thanks Dave. Yep, you are probably right. Complaining about the situation is not the right approach. If someone wants to hide DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) from newbie DIYers, and spread false rumors about (malware in the fitting software), then a better approach may be to just rely on the judgement of fellow DIYers to recognize bs when they see it.

I removed the DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) explanation about (false rumors in fitting software). It backfired anyway because when I mention "malware" then other forum members naturally relate to "real" malware and not the "false rumor" warning I was trying to convey.

So I have switched to a better approach, "Time Wounds all Heels".
