I just purchased a pair of Sennheiser all day clear HAs, It’s my understanding that they can be configured with Truefit software.

I’m fairly happy with the basic setup, but still need better results, so at this point I have decided to purchase a Noah link wireless, it may work with these HAs, if not I will be sending these back and buying some that I can self configure.

I’m a retired electrical controls engineer, I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves to get communications link established!

If someone can provide a link to the software it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @TN Dude Welcome;
Can you say where is a reference to (Sennheiser all day clear OTC's) using TrueFit software? I believe you need to use a cellphone App.

I found a some Utube links about; Setting up the Sennheiser All-Day Clear OTC Hearing Aids. One says;
Once your hearing aids are fully charged, simply download and install the All-Day Clear Hearing App onto your smart device running iOS 14, Android 8, or later. Just follow the directions to connect the hearing aids via Bluetooth to your device.
  • The app features a simple volume slider to toggle the device volume up or down, though this can be adjusted via physical buttons on each hearing aid as well.
  • Fine tuning is also offered through the software, such as toggles for wind noise reduction and ambient noise, as well as preset sound modes to fit one’s environment.
My understanding is you can use the cellphone App for these simple adjustments:
  • toggle for wind noise reduction
  • toggle for ambient noise reduction
  • choose a preset sound mode

You can read your PM/Private Message/Conversation for information about how to find Unitron TrueFit 5.7.0. But it won't work for OTC's.
Also; the DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) access portals are at your finger tips via 24/7 cloud storage access.
  • Start here → DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) to find the access portals
  • You can easily find the Access Portals again/anytime, by clicking any PVC Avatar (click twice - counting the 2nd popup Avatar)
  • When logged in, you can find the Access Portals again/anytime, by clicking a Link in my Signature
  • And finally, you can perform a simple Internet search for "DIY School Hearing Aids"

All day clear software information.

the unifor software does recognoise and connect to the Sennheiser All Day Clear, however they show up as being locked. There is an unlock option available but it states that unlocking will trigger a charge. I disconnected my PC from net and nervously clicked the unlock button, it requires a log in, account # and so forth.

Sennheiser lists an Optional programming package by an in-house audiologist for $250. I’m assuming that’s is the unlock that is referenced.

Okay, maybe these Sennheiser hearing aids are more than OTC?? Let's poke at that a bit if you don't mind.
  • What hearing aid programming device are you using? Are you using (Noahlink Wireless 2) or (Noahlink Wireless)?
  • What indication signifies that the hearing aids are connected?

I wish I would have taken a screen shot,

I used a noah link wireless 2, I went thru the connection procedure, in upper right corner is shows they are connected. It identifies them as Sennheiser ADC, and lists the serial number.

I will reconnect later this evening and take screen shots. I’m happy to support the knowledge of this forum anyway I can!

If you have discord I could share my screen with you.

You could use (MS Windows / Start / Snipping tool / New)
Draw a rectangle around part of your computer screen
Save that Clip as an image file on your PC
Then use the Insert Image Tool on this forum ^ to insert your clip

Thanks, that is very informative! I wonder what would be achieved by unlocking the device? Maybe it's the equivalent (of paying $250) to your Audi?
  • Maybe it could be a first fitting matched to fit your audiogram/hearing loss?
  • Or Pfft; your Audi setting up and showing you how to use the Cellphone App.
HMm; Why not ask your Audi what you will get for the extra $250 USD? It's a fair question.

Hearing aid companies are all offering “crippled ware” ( high end products with features disabled) as their OTC offering, They are so focused on trying to keep prices artificially high. They will get destroyed by some Chinese companies if they aren’t careful. The Blaids Hearing aids allow for a lot of DIY settings. My big issue with the Sennheiser is the fact that you can only adjust volume left and right independently, everything else is applied to left and right at same time, even their so called self fitting procedure.

The software allows me to enter my audiogram…. It just doesn’t use it for anything.

You could be right? We dunno yet? This is the first example of (high-end/OTC) that I have seen and we don't know yet about what capabilities may become available by "unlocking" the hearing aids?

Here is the final verdict on Sennheiser all day clear PC programming.

The HAs are locked and not intended to be able to modify any settings. I did find a glitch that allows changing the gain settings but there doesn’t seem to be a reliable way to retain the settings.

I have played around with the phone app fitting and have found settings that I’m pretty happy with so far. My issue is the difference between my right and left ear. I’ve had several surgeries on left ear so it has cartilage for an ear drum and titanium ossicular chain. I will give them another week of wearing them and then give a full review in OTC sub forum.

It's not much, but the App has a "Split" button that you can toggle to adjust volume and mute your hearing aids, as a pair or separately. Pfft

Unfortunately when you split to boost one side… when the app closes it sometimes sets the volume back to midpoint
