Hi,I have widex GPS 4.5 which I took from pvc thanks and now I need widex compass v 5.8 for old model hearing aids,I request PVC to send me the link thanks alot

Okay, Read your PM/Conversation soon RE Widex Compass V5.8 for older.

I also require the legacy Compass software (i.e. not the newer Compass GPS) for programming a Widex Clear hearing aid I recently inherited. I understand version 5.8 is the last one of that series.

Would anyone be able to share this software with me?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @Peter Welcome;
Please read your PM/Conversation for info on how to find Widex Compass V5.8 for older.

Well, unfortunately I have to abandon the attempt to program these old Widex Clear aids. The programming software (Compass V5.8) was straightforward enough but programming also requires the Widex USB Link hardware and that's just not available anywhere any more apart from some obscure shop in Russia - not really an option, I suppose.

Over to Plan B: I could acquire a pair of Widex Moment 110 aids from 2020 or thereabouts, so not outright antique any more. They can be programmed using the Widex Pro Link which I could get for a good price from eBay. Now let's see if a friendly soul on this forum is prepared to share a reasonably recent version of Widex Compass GPS software.

You can also use the ubiquitous/industry standard (Noahlink Wireless or Noahlink Wireless 2). Here's a clip from a DIY School Hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File named (01 Free Hearing Aid Fitting Software).

Widex Compass GPS 4.8 (or latest version) is hidden. You will need to use the hidden software instructions suggested at the end of this document. Models; (SmartRIC, MOMENT, EVOKE, BEYOND, UNIQUE and DREAM).

The above models can only be programmed using Widex PRO LINK, Widex USB Link, nEARCom, and most recently the industry-standard Noahlink Wireless for only the latest models ( SmartRIC, MOMENT). Also if your hearing aids do not have the most recent firmware update, you may need to use the Widex Moment App to update the firmware in your hearing aids prior to using NoahLink Wireless.

Success :D!!!

Thanks to the excellent guidance / introductions in @pvc's DIY documents the programming of my Widex Moment 110 type HAs (RIC version MRR2D) went smoothly. Widex Compass GPS 4.8 installed without problems on Windows 10 and connected to my Widex Pro Link (USB version) programmer first time. I could add myself as a "customer" to the local database on first use and then create my audiogram within 5 minutes. Compass GPS figured out that both the Pro Link and the HAs needed firmware updates and installed these without problems. Running the adjustment process (Sensogram) was also simple. Registering a DECT TV Link was a matter of seconds. OK, you really have to download the very detailed Compass GPS user manual and read the salient sections but that's to be expected.

Result: a very comfortable hearing experience. There are only very few sounds (e.g. leaves rustling in the wind) that feel slightly unnatural, otherwise its perfect with excellent voice clarity. I sometimes check if the HAs are actually running because I can't tell that they are switched on just by the sound.

If anyone with this or similar setups (I expect all recent Widex products are rougly the same) needs help, please get in touch.
