My son (2yrs) wears the oticon sensi. He has been wearing them for 6months. He is pretty rough on them and they have held up really well. They seem very durable and well made. From what I can tell, the sound quality is really good. We have had no complaints with his aids.

loved Oticon, my last pair is similar to your kid's (until one crapped out on me LOL)
