Hi all
New hearing aid user from Norway here.
I've known for a couple of years that my hearing wasn't great(difficulty hearing conversation in noisy environments, a lot of "could you please repeat that" and so on). I was diagnosed with a meningioma in 2022, and my neurosurgeon recommended I get my hearing tested since hearing loss can be one of the first symptoms of tumor growth.
I had my hearing test in November 2024 where I was told I had cookie bite hearing loss on both sides and should consider getting hearing aids --->me

Anyway, I was fitted with a pair of Resound nexia hearing aids last week. They are excellent in noisy environment but other times they make everything almost painfully loud(probably in the frequencies my hearing is normal). All in all though, not a bad experience and not the overload of sound I was expecting.
