I have oticon Alta2 and Ria2.
Can I use FittingLINK WP-2 or FittingLINK 3.0 to program them?
I already have Hi-pro, but wired is inconvenient, so I want to try wireless programming Alta2 and Ria2.

Genie2017 has a video about how to connect FittingLINK WP-2 to program Alta Pro.
Indicates that Alta Pro still has wireless capability.

I took a screenshot of the video.
So I'm curious, could anyone give it a try?

Hi JHC and Welcome; These are Legacy hearing aids and they don't have Bluetooth Low Energy/BLE modern wireless capability built-in to the hearing aid chip/processor so you cannot use Noahlink Wireless. But Yes, I believe you can use FittingLINK WP-2 or FittingLINK 3.0 to program them. Sorry about my previous conversation on this subject. Maybe I wasn't awake yet ;)

Use Caution when they talk about NOAHlink because they are talking about the old obsolete NOAHlink hearing aid programming device and not Noahlink Wireless.

This is the old obsolete NOAHlink;

Though, unless you can get FittingLINK for real cheap remember you are buying soon-to-be-obsolete technology.

I watched the videos. But I don't have the Legacy Hearing Aid Programming device (FittlingLINK) and also I don't have any Legacy Oticon Hearing aids so I can't try it. Actually, I doubt that we have a forum member with these Legacy devices. But if we do, here's some detailed instructions on watching two videos which seem to be embedded inside the Genie fitting software and not available from cloud storage.
  1. Run Genie Legacy 2017.1
  2. Select a Client (in this case Joe Blow)
  3. At the next step (FAMILY) Click Instruction Videos in the left Pane
  4. Scroll down the list of Instruction Videos and Expand → PROGRAMMING DEVICE
  5. Click to Play one of two videos;
  • FittlingLINK, cabled, how to use
  • FittlingLINK, wireless, how to use

HMm; If it were me? I would wait for a good price on Oticon Opn miniRITE 312 which can be programmed wirelessly using (Noahlink Wireless) or using (Hi Pro with standard CS44 cables and Flexstrips). Oticon Opn is from the Oticon Velox platform which/(in my opinion) has much better technology/chip/processor than the Inium Sense platform. Though, our markets/regions are very different; YMMV?
