Hello All,

Just wondered if someone could help me understand this audiogram. I'm waiting to apply for a job where there is a minimum hearing requirement.
The standard you must be able to hear is 84dB at 0.5, 1 and 2 KHz and/or 140 dB at 3, 4 and 6 KHz.

Looking at my audiogram below does this requirement rule me out?

Much Appreciated.

Must be a LEO job ;) I am not used to talking about hearing requirements. Though I have a couple of charts that may help with this discussion;
Does anyone else know if the OP's audiogram will qualify?

Hi @mthomas, If I understand these audiogram plots correctly, yours shows, for example, that the softest sound you can hear at 8kHz in the right ear is about 90dB. That standard you quote seems very low - I mean, you could meet that with severe hearing loss, I think. Maybe the units are different between the standard you quote and the sound pressure levels in the audiogram?
