Can Phonak Target software be run standalone, without validation from the manufacturer?

You can install Phonak Target (or any other manufacturer's hearing aid fitting software) as a standalone installation without one of the supporting database systems (Noah 4 or Noah ES). The fitting software has the ability to use it's own standalone database.

Any further validation, purchase, or professional-membership, is only required for one of the two supporting database systems (Noah 4 or Noah ES) which DIYers should never use. Also, you should say no to any optional communication with the manufacturer. After all, what's the point? The manufacturer "only" offers additional support to professional Audiologists who buy their hearing aids.
