Need help: Philips 9050 cannot connect to HearSuite 2024.2

Not the OP, but from what I’ve followed, the 9050 only works with HearSuite 2024.2, not 2024.1 (which was the version the OP had). The OP needed a copy of 2024.2 because the auto-update wasn’t working—which is always the case for me with Genie 2! Luckily, pvc always helps me out!

    Oticon Genie 2024.2 is available

Hi @pvc! Genie 2024.2 is out? The update did not show for me yet... I wonder if that is about a new Intent firmware update. From Oticon's website:

Getting new Oticon Intent 1's soon - Got em!

Yes, you're right and I'd do the same. My REM experience was really frustrating. I plan to try it again if I find a good HCP who can help me with that. For now, I've been relying on in-situ as an alternative.

Getting new Oticon Intent 1's soon - Got em!

With the Intents, I switched from VAC+ to DSL v5, and that has further improved my experience with the Intents in noisy environments (to some extent, with my Mores as well, which are now my backups). VAC+ is very comfortable for me because it masks my tinnitus and works great in simple...

Getting new Oticon Intent 1's soon - Got em!

Great that you got the Intents, @pvc! I'll be following your journey, please keep sharing your experience :). I notice more resolution, separation, and clarity with the Intents. Btw, which fitting formula do you use? @Volusiano, I think I never mentioned that I ended up buying a pair of Intents...

New Oticon Sirius Platform, with one new model (Oticon Intent miniRITE)

I haven't had the chance to simulate that myself yet, so thanks for all the tips. I wonder if you noticed any changes in compression and gain in the "fine-tuning" tab as well?

New Oticon Sirius Platform, with one new model (Oticon Intent miniRITE)

this new design/layout is for the new Intents only, no? In any case, the old layout also has this option, though the new one is much better (kudos to Oticon). I think this new ACT index could offer more precision, like you mention in your post #31.

New Oticon Sirius Platform, with one new model (Oticon Intent miniRITE)

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing. I don't think this ACT test will hit the clinics I have access to anytime soon. Hopefully I am wrong... I guess there would be no harm taking a laptop to a cafe and finding out which number from -4 and 16 would work best for me, no? More...

    Oticon Genie2 - software download?

Hi @pvc! Would you happen to have a link to download Genie 2 2024.1? Mine won't update...

New Oticon Sirius Platform, with one new model (Oticon Intent miniRITE)

Hi @pvc! Edge does translations too :). I usually use chrome to translate when I am using a Mac. I see your point about the battery. Indeed, the extra information about rechargeability only mentions the desk charger. No mention to disposable batteries, nor to a portable charger... If that is...

New Oticon Sirius Platform, with one new model (Oticon Intent miniRITE)

that's very similar to the wall charger that came with my More. The one in the previous picture costs extra $$$ and has a battery that offers up to 3 chargers. Thanks for the posts!

    Buying New on Ebay

The Oticon Real is a very good hearing aid. It is among the best ones available nowadays. However, in my experience, the tinnitus function in these hearing aids does not help that much. I own a pair of Oticon More and have constant tinnitus. I tried the tinnitus feature in my Mores, but in the...

I purchased my noahlink wireless from fromtheheart6912. All in all it was a good experience.

Are the Oticon More aids that much better than the OPN aids?

Another drawback of those HAs with rechargeable batteries... they are just not cut out to be backups. When I eventually move to the next pair I am going to have the same problem with my current Mores.

Are the Oticon More aids that much better than the OPN aids?

I simulated my hearing loss with Real 2. For my case, Genie 2 says I should expect around 50 hours for the 312 battery. Same Genie says 60 hours for my OPNs, which turns out to be what I really get with them.

Are the Oticon More aids that much better than the OPN aids?

Very nice read, @Volusiano. I couldn't identify which zinc-air battery lasts long, was it Duracell? I'd add that the hearing aids start to beep to alert you when the battery has low juice. That usually gives us a couple of hours until it really dies, which in most cases is enough time to get a...

Are the Oticon More aids that much better than the OPN aids?

I never trusted those estimates with my OPNs (disposable batteries). They usually last for about 5 days, so I had that in mind. The % indication for my More (rechargeable batteries) seems reliable.
