What kind of batteries do you use? 675 or something else? 2 weeks sounds short for 675. That's why I asked. :)

How did you lose your hearing?

Hahaha... don't feel bad. My audiologist says the same thing about my right ear. Even though I have more hearing loss in my right ear than my left ear, my right ear is more sensitive than my left ear. That's why I don't wear a hearing aid in my right ear.

    Hearing Aids in Movies?

Sometimes, I wonder why they don't implement sign language in some movies (as often as they should) where the character wears hearing aids. Kinda defeats the purpose of putting the hearing aids there in the first place.

    Hearing Aids in Movies?

Well, if I'm walking along at a store or at the mall... and see an old person wearing hearing aids, I usually shrug it off with the assumption that they're deaf because of old age. But if it's a young person wearing hearing aids, then I usually have a quick thought of two things... "Is that...

How often do you change the battery in your hearing aid?

That's why it's usually wise to consider when we REALLY need to wear our hearing aids. Some people think they HAVE to wear their hearing aids EVERYWHERE no matter what (except for sleep). Those are the ones whose batteries usually last the shortest. ;)

    Hearing Aids in Movies?

Even though I'm deaf and wear a hearing aid, I don't always think about hearing aids on old people. I guess you're right about it being considered "normal" to see an old person wearing hearing aids and ignoring it. :)

    Dog ate my hearing aid

My sister's dog actually chewed on my hearing aid. It was the analog hearing aid that I had for 15 years. It fell out of my ear while I was sleeping and she woke me up apologizing cuz she found it in her dog's mouth. I just wiped it off and put it under a blow dryer. Worked fine. That was in...

Who else doesn't like digital hearing aids?

That's one of the reasons why I had my audiologist add MTV mode to my digital hearing aid. It makes my digital hearing aid function as analog... hears everything with no anti-feedback. :)

    Tinnitus

Well, the weird sounds I hear is hard to describe. I'll have to figure out a good description soon. It's random, but it's something I can actually induce or stop based on what I'm physically doing.

How many hearing aids (and/or CIs) do you wear?

The title says it all! :) How many hearing aids and/or cochlear implants do you wear? Why or why not? I wear only one hearing aid in my left ear. I used to wear two when I was little for a few years, but it never worked out and I always got headaches. It has something to do with...
