Sounds like me! Can't go one with my day without wearing a hearing aid. ;)

I noticed I have to change my hearing aid (Phonak) battery (Duracell size 13) every 7-9 days.

I wear only one in my left ear. One is not needed in my right ear, at least that's what my audiologists told me throughout the years. Like Vampyrox, my right ear is very sensitive but too weak to understand sounds. When I listen to music via headphones, I can hear and understand voice in my left...

I'm using Phonak these days, and all I can say is that the sound quality is better than my old Starkey hearing aid. Still getting used to wearing a digital hearing aid, though.

Thanks for the link, Bottesini. So far I've tried two different digital hearing aids, the last one made by Phonak, and I've had two different audiologists in NJ tweak the settings so that they are programmed like an analog. But, nope, it's not the same and the digital hearing aid doesn't sound...

I usually wear my hearing aid all day except when I'm sweating profusely, taking a shower, or sleeping. What about you?

I get spontaneous tinnitus, and the high but quiet pitch noise lasts for about 15-20 seconds then it goes away. Does anyone else have this problem? For those that don't know, noise or ringing in the ears is called "Tinnitus." I understand one way to prevent tinnitus is reducing the noise...

I'm not a CI user, but to those that do, what do you think? Fact or myth? :confused:

I currently use Duracell, size 13. The battery usually lasts about 7 days before it needs to be replaced. I've had a few deaf friends tell me that the Energizer hearing aid batteries last longer than others, but I wouldn't know. What about you?

I currently use Starkey (digital) and have Oticon (analog) as backup. I've used Oticon all my life until a few years ago. I think Starkey is OK, probably because it's digital and I'm used to analog, but that's a different story. :p What's your hearing aid brand?

I lost my hearing due to a high fever when I was 5 years old. I currently use a hearing aid on my left ear and not my right, because my audiologist said my hearing in that ear was so bad a hearing aid wouldn't do much. Heh. So, how did you lose your hearing?
