Inquiry About Phonak Target Software and NoahLink Wireless 2

Good morning,

I was about to purchase the NoahLink Wireless 2 to configure my Phonak hearing aids, but how can I get the same software that hearing care professionals use? They have all the programs listed at the top and then click on Phonak Target.

1. How can I obtain or download the professional audiology software?
2. How can I get or download Phonak Target?
3. Hypothetically, if in the future Phonak Target updates to version 11.0.0.0, how can I upgrade to the latest version?
4. Where can I find the manual for configuring hearing aids?

How can I obtain or download the professional audiology software?

You don't need any. Here's a clip from a DIY School hearing Aids (v2.2) PDF File file named (02 How to Program your Hearing Aids);

Self Programming Don’ts:​

When installing hearing aid fitting software don’t choose the option to participate in the improve software feature. No need to have extra automatic communication with manufacturer!!

Don’t use the Noah system software (currently Noah4 or Noah-ES). Noah system software is never required for any manufacturer’s fitting software. Professional Audiologists need the Noah system software to group many clients into a one Noah database and provide automatic startup interfaces for the different manufacturer’s fitting software. If you are a self-programmer, it is simpler and cheaper to run the manufacturer’s fitting software standalone. When fitting software is run standalone it will use its own database. Repeat,,, Do not use the Noah System software!

Don’t confuse the above Noah system software (currently Noah4 or Noah-ES) with the Noahlink Wireless programming device. Don’t confuse an old obsolete programming device named NOAHlink with the Noahlink Wireless programming device. Noah, NOAHlink, and Noahlink Wireless are three different things.

Click the Updates button at the bottom of your Phonak Target to get to the Updates screen which will give you the ability to Download/Install/and even Save updates for Target fitting software and/or Media. Here's a clickable → Link.

In 2023, you had given me Phonak Target 10.0, so why can't I update it to Phonak Target 10.1? I tried checking where you indicated, but there’s no update to 10.1.?

Sometimes there are special versions that are released quickly and the update feature for that quickie release doesn't work, or maybe it was captured incorrectly. Otherwise you can usually rely on the software featuring working. Also note Phonak Target 6.1 is the last Target version that supports the iCube, Phonak's proprietary Legacy wireless programming device. If you need to use the Legacy iCube device, please find/install the 6.1 version of Target and then do not make any further updates.
